The Cruze in past model years has been a Top Safety Pick, as well as a five-star performer in federal tests. For 2013, Chevy introduced even more available safety equipment. A rear-vision camera system is now available as part of a Technology Package; and a new Enhanced Safety Package includes Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and rear park assist. It is expected that features such as these will also be available in the Cruze Turbo. Learn more about these safety features at Freeway Chevy.

The automotive experts at Consumer’s Digest have recognized the Chevrolet Sonic, Camaro and Equinox 2013 Automotive “Best Buys”. Consumers Digest chooses their “Best Buys” based on which cars in each category provide the most value for the price. Vehicles are tested based on the standards of an average car buyer under a variation of conditions. Their focus is based on significance in both design and performance.

Stop by  Phoenix Chevrolet to check out the Sonic, Camaro, and Equinox which fall into three separate classes, and were each named best in their own class. The subcompact Chevy Sonic was awarded this title for the first time this year for a variety of reasons. The Sonic has the best safety rating in its class with 10 standard airbags and a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. According to Chevy,  safety is not the only distinctive feature claimed by the Sonic. The Sonic is also the only car in its class that’s American built and offers a turbocharged engine with a conceivable 40 miles to the gallon on the highway.

The 2013 Chevy Camaro, to no surprise, won the “Best Buy” award in the Sporty Car category for the fourth year in a row. The Camaro offers great performance with  muscular looks and an unforgettable ride. With engines that range from a 323-horsepower V6 to a 580-horsepower supercharged V8, reviewers note that the  Camaro’s handling abilities are stellar; especially for a car of its size.  The Camaro can get up to 30 miles to the gallon on the highway.

The Camaro is not the only “Best Buy” veteran in Chevy’s Army. In the Compact SUV category, the 2013 Chevy Equinox was also awarded its fourth consecutive “Best Buy” title. With its premium looks and spacious interior, the equinox offers a quiet, comfortable ride that resembles more like that of a full-size crossover rather than a compact. Along with a  standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, there is also an optional 3.0-liter V6. The four cylinders can get up to 32 miles per gallon on the highway, while the V6 can get around 22.
