Tahoe, Suburban Ready to Seize the Night

New for 2017, the Tahoe and Suburban LT models are offered with a Midnight Edition package. The LT Midnight includes all of the features found on both the LT trim levels of Suburban and Tahoe and adds 20” black wheels, all-season tires, roof rack cross rails, black assist steps and black Chevrolet “bow tie” logos.

LT, Z71 Get Blackout Treatment

If traveling in stealth mode in the dead of the night is your favorite way to travel, Chevrolet has some very good news. Both of their full-size SUVs, the Tahoe and Suburban, are offering a Midnight Edition package for the LT and Z71 trim levels. Both packages feature an exclusive black paint job, with trim and special accessories that will make your SUV stand out from the crowd during the day and all but disappear when night falls. “Our SUV customers have shown a considerable appetite for specialty vehicles,” according to Chevy marketing manager Mike Weidman. “The Midnight Editions allow us to further deliver on the premium expectation that our customers already have for these class-leading full-size SUVs.” Check in with the pros at Freeway Chevrolet to see when the Midnight Editions will be available for inspection.

Z71 Prepares You for Off-Roading

The Z71 Midnight Edition package comes with all the goodies of the regular Z71 trim level plus a few more. Chevy’s Z71 has long been associated with the ultimate in off-roading by providing specialty items like skid plates, tubular side steps, tow hooks, fog lamps and special off-road tires. You also get a four-wheel drive system that provides extra control when going down a steep grade, a large capacity air cleaner and suspension that’s tuned to absorb the big bumps. Both the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban with the Midnight Edition package add large black Z71 wheels, cross rails for a roof rack, a grille insert that’s black, and, of course, the black Chevy bowtie logo on the front. The LT package includes the same Midnight Edition extras without all the Z71 off-road accessories.

Teen Driver Standard on Both SUVs

If you have a new licensee in your family, you’ll be pleased to know that Chevy has now added its Teen Driver package as standard equipment in both the 2017 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe. Designed to help teens focus on the task at hand and not become distracted, Teen Driver can let parents see how fast the vehicle went, how far it went and how many times any safety features were activated during the drive. It also won’t turn the radio on until all seat belts are fastened.

Tahoe, Suburban Sales on Rise

As the two most popular full-size SUVs in America, the Tahoe and Suburban continue to rock sales during this calendar year. The Tahoe, which offers three-row seating and plenty of towing capability, shows sales 15 percent of last year’s total. The larger Suburban, the perfect vehicle for big families, shows a 30 percent increase. See why America loves these two vehicles when you head to Freeway Chevrolet for a test drive.
